As a photographer and journalist, I have long been fascinated by the way in which images and words come together to tell powerful stories. In recent years, advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have given rise to new possibilities for storytelling, blurring the lines between art and technology. On March 16th, I will be holding a workshop at Salz21 to explore the use of AI in storytelling and the ways in which this technology is changing the field of visual communication.
In the workshop, titled “Geschichten erzählen – Kunst vs. AI,” we will explore the ways in which stories are generated from both images and text, and how the intersection of these two mediums can create a powerful experience for viewers. We will also dive into the ways in which AI can be used to generate images from text, and text from images, offering new possibilities for marketers and other professionals in the field of visual communication.
The workshop will take place from 11:00 – 12:00 MEZ in Room 15, and will be a think-tank style event, allowing for open discussion and collaboration among attendees. We will explore case studies and examples of AI-generated visual content, and consider the implications of this technology for the future of storytelling.
As a graphic-journalist for an Austrian business newspaper, I have witnessed firsthand the ways in which technology is transforming the field of visual communication. With AI, marketers and other professionals have new tools at their disposal for creating powerful visual content that resonates with audiences. However, it is also important to consider the ethical and aesthetic implications of relying on AI-generated content, and to ensure that the human touch is not lost in the pursuit of technological innovation.
